Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Cook books I’d love to have number in the 1000’s but this one recently caught my eye and it’s all about baking cool things inside cupcakes.
You know you’ve seen those cute photos on Pinterest with adorable Cupcakes with Pink Hearts inside or Green Clovers.. (Hmm I sound like a Lucky Charm Commercial…) but back to the cookbook.
Bake it in a Cupcake gives you 50 different Cupcake creations you can bake that include sweet treats but there is also an entire chapter on savory cupcakes including Chili and Cheddar in Biscuits & Egg Filled Croissant Cups with Swiss and Dill.. YUM!
The author Megan Selling walks you step by step through each cupcake recipe with photos along the way to help you get it to look just like the pictures.
I have found cupcakes are SO much better to make for kids birthday parties and if you can score one of those pretty cake pedestals at your local yard sale or thrift store even better. Kids can never hold still long enough to sit down and eat cake off of a plate but a portable piece of yumminess? They are SO on board with that idea. These filled cupcake creations would be find for a posh adult party as well.
For those of us that might have too many cookbooks and have overflowing shelves…. There’s even a Kindle Version
Included in the book is a list of things to have on hand along with do’s and do not’s of what you can bake inside a cupcake.
Apparently, marshmallows just turn to nothingness.. that’s sad but of course, you can use them on top of the cupcake for a simple frosting.

“The cupcake is my oldest friend and arguably the love of my life. (Sorry, Terry.) I didn’t think the cupcake could be improved, but Megan Seling has done it. Her pumpkin pie–filled cupcake is possibly the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten. I’ve sampled several dozen of Megan’s stuffed cupcakes—each a delicious work of art and a mind-boggling feat of engineering—and now it’s your turn. Prepare to have your mind and your taste buds blown—along with any preconceived notions you may have had about what a cupcake can be.” — Dan Savage, author of Savage Love
Creator of the “It Gets Better” Project, consumer of cupcakes
Look at this beautiful collection of cupcake creations from Google that people have posted after using the Cupcake Cookbook… WOW!
