The one thing that almost every diet / get healthy plan in the world can agree on is to DRINK MORE WATER!!

And I just don’t ever do it. It’s boring and I’d rather have a latte / margarita / glass of wine / nice microbrew… BUT that’s not going to move me towards my goal of getting healthy is it?

So back to plan A.. The schwanky (is that a world?) hotels and health clubs always have beautiful glass pitchers filled with cucumber or lemon water and it always tastes so wonderful… I just can’t get enough.

So what the heck… if I’m going to try to drink more water, it might as well flush some fat AND have it look really pretty in my refrigerator… right?

Fat Flush Water

Ingredients, per 1 pitcher

Step one of her 10 day plan is the water.. make a pitcher and drink an 8 ounce glass of it before your meals for 10 days.

The ingredients in the fat flush do a variety of things to help you according to Kim

  • Grapefruit is loaded with vitamin C to help metabolize fat
  • Tangerine increases sensitivity to insulin, stabilizes blood sugar and stimulates genes to burn fat
  • Cucumber helps you feel full and acts as a natural diuretic (less bloating and water retention)
  • Peppermint adds a nice flavor and is know for it’s anti-inflammatory properties and aids digestion

Interestingly this is very similar to the Young Living Essential Oils that are part of the weight loss trio. Even easier than cutting up fruit for your water.

You can make a big pitcher of Fat Flush Water every morning…. the fruit will last for a few days so what I did yesterday was just to replace the water I’d drunk during the day. This morning it was even more flavorful.

I’ve seen warnings about people who take medication for Blood Pressure and/or Cholesterol should avoid grapefruit. I have no idea, so you should ask your doctor or check the indications on your prescription.

I really like sunflowers and this big sun tea gallon jug always makes me happy AND it’s easy for a clumsy gourmet to push that spigot to fill up my glass all day. Here are a few options for pretty glass jars if you don’t already have one. 

Lets give it a try for 10 days shall we?

Clumsy Gourmet 2015 Green Smoothie Challenge

Today’s water was super pretty too and just includes slices of Tangerine and 3 drops of Citrus Fresh Young Living Essential Oils. It’s super yummy and is part of the weight loss trio.

Every health expert in the world agrees that we should all drink more water ! If it’s pretty and it tastes good it’s easier .. Slice an orange or tangerine and add 2-3 drops of young living essentials oils in a huge glass of water.
